Prior to joining Pemberton in 2020, she spent nearly two and a half years as legal counsel at Partners Group (UK) Limited, a global private markets investment manager. There, she provided legal advice and transactional support across the spectrum of her direct credit strategies in the UK and Europe. Our support staff is an important part of our legal system. Our employees have experience ranging from five to 53 years. Prior to his appointment as attorney general, Pemberton served the state by appointing the governor judge of the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. In addition, Pemberton has served as chief judge of the Oklahoma County Juvenile Division since May 2019. He served as Oklahoma County District Judge from January 2018 to May 2019 and Oklahoma County Special District Judge from May 2017 to January 2018. Prior to taking the helm of the bank, Pemberton worked in private practice from 2008 to 2017, working at companies such as: Foliart, Huff, Ottaway & Bottom; Mulinix, Ogden, Hall, Andrews and Ludlam; and Hayes Magrini & Gatewood. She then moved into private practice, where she focused on administrative law, management consulting, and utility and regulated industry law. In this capacity, Terri was a shareholder of Cafer Pemberton LLC and represented investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, independent transmission companies and independent power producers in connection with the development, financing, operation and sale of various energy assets. Prior to joining KMEA, Terri was Chief Litigation Counsel for KCC and led a team of lawyers representing KCC`s technical staff in matters relating to utility regulation, oil and gas production, and automotive transportation companies. Louisa is Legal Counsel – Execution at Pemberton and is responsible for the legal structuring and execution of transactions related to Pemberton`s investments. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Washburn University and a Doctor of Laws with Certificate in Natural Resources Law from Washburn University School of Law. It is licensed in Kansas and Missouri. Justice Pemberton received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2005 and his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2008, where he graduated Laude. Louisa has 10 years` experience as a licensed lawyer in the UK and has worked in both a private law firm and in asset management. Prior to joining Partners Group, she worked for Dentons UKMEA LLP as a lawyer in the Banking & Finance team from 2012 to 2018. Terri is a member of the Board of Governors of the Kansas Bar Association and past chair of the KBA`s Administrative Law Division. She also serves on the board of directors of the Kansas Bar Foundation and is a member of the Topeka Bar Association and the Energy Bar Association. Alan Pemberton has worked in government contracting since 1982 and served as president or co-chair of Covington`s government contracting practice from 2000 to 2016. His practice covers the full spectrum of government contracts, including bid challenges and other procurement disputes before the GAO, government boards, federal and state courts, and ADR courts. He advises large and small contractors and beneficiaries on all government proposals, performance, compliance, regulation, suspension and exclusion, transactional and legislative matters. He also leads the firm`s pro bono program as co-chair of the Public Service Committee.
