After studying various practice areas not only in the German legal market, but also in the US, EMEA and Latin America – using her bilingual German and English skills as well as advanced Spanish skills – she worked for a year as an assistant writer at Legal 500 Deutschland before being promoted to editor-in-chief of the German language guide in 2015. Anna has spent a considerable part of her time visiting companies and gaining in-depth knowledge of the market in all major cities in Germany. We`ll also hear from Wasim Hamid, Senior Director of Business Development, on how law firms can stand out on The Legal 500 ahead of the 2023 edition. Before her career at The Legal 500, she spent several years in academic research: after a first degree in anthropology, she continued her university studies with a master`s degree in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American cultural studies and a master`s degree in migration, mobility and development. At the same time, she completed internships in NGOs and an international think tank and worked as a market and policy researcher for a research center specializing in Japanese clients. Outside of work, she enjoys attending shows and exhibitions, traveling when the weather permits, and taking refuge in nature several times.
